Website Design & Product Photography: SpectraTees
I worked closely with the principal lead at SpectraUSA, getting his online store to match his great screen-print-ready clothing line, bringing design, product and model photography together on a massive website upgrade.

PROJECT:
Website Design, Product & Model Photography, Product Description & Detailing, Fashion Blogging for SEO
The SpectraTees web design and product photography project was an enormous undertaking. It involved web design, product photography, model photography, SEO blogging and copywriting, and product descriptions for hundreds of products. I worked closely with one of the owners of SpectraUSA to elevate their web presence to a fully functional shopping cart experience.
Sprawling projects like this are tough to tackle from a web design and product photography point of view, but they also afford unique opportunities for efficiency and being able to pivot when a particular aspect of the project doesn’t go to plan. The product shoots alone took a week with models in a studio where we made sure we had front-back-and-sides coverage of each garment as well as candid “lifestyle” shots of the models we could use in blog posts and social media later. I shot during office hours at the SpectraTees warehouse in Chino, CA, and edited the images in my hotel room at night, heading back the next day for more of the same. It was grueling.
The website filled up slowly, and eventually, we had our card system, security bona fides, and a great SEO strategy in place, delivering a great service to the Spectra users. Business was brisk, and within the year, we were already upgrading the site to the sturdier Magento platform and migrating hundreds of product swatches, sizes and SKUs into this robust platform.
